Serving several communities in and around the Stratford area, Cross Roads Fire Department was established as a rural fire department in 1980. With over 30 committed members, trained in various emergency services, CRFD has a proud tradition of community support.
The mission of the Cross Roads Fire Department is to provide a professional level of community fire protection, emergency medical, and rescue services to the citizens and property owners within the Cross Roads Fire Protection District and neighboring communities via mutual aid agreements, in order to prevent or minimize the loss of life, alleviate pain and suffering, and mitigate property damage as a result of fire, natural disaster, or other emergencies.
The volunteer firefighters of CRFD will accomplish their mission through the effective use of the latest training and innovative tactics in cooperation with other public safety agencies. CRFD will strive to have the proper equipment ready and staffed in order to provide a high level of service to our communities.
